We are looking to recruit an Analytics Engineer to own the certified analytics layer: the curated datasets and governed metric definitions that power trusted reporting and self-serve across the business.
For this role you would sit at the intersection of data, business, and governance. Your core mission is to ensure that key metrics are defined once, controlled centrally, and consistent everywhere, while improving data quality and reducing discrepancies caused by hidden dependencies (spreadsheets, untracked transformations, and ad-hoc logic).
Ideally the person for the role will understand and have worked with Data Analytics Engineering, has experience with owning certified datasets, metric definitions, and the semantic/metrics layer governance as well as the ability to create and maintain metric definitions in close partnership with RevOps/GTM/Finance, and ensure they remain consistent across downstream consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
Data modeling:
Design, build, and maintain analytics marts in BigQuery using dbt, with clear grains, conformed dimensions, and scalable patterns (facts/dims/marts).
Design and own the “gold” layer used for company KPIs
Ensure curated datasets are documented, discoverable, and easy to use for downstream consumers.
Metric definitions and governance:
Lead metric definition work through structured collaboration with RevOps/GTM/Finance:
clarify business intent, edge cases, inclusions/exclusions
document definitions and assumptions
Implement governance so metrics are defined in one place and changes are controlled and propagated
Establish lightweight processes for approving and evolving metrics
Data quality and discrepancy management:
Improve trust in data by implementing strong quality practices
Drive investigation and resolution of discrepancies
Reduce reliance on spreadsheet logic and undocumented transformations by migrating business-critical logic into tested, version-controlled assets.
We are looking for someone with:
3–5+ years in an Analytics Engineer / Analytics-focused Data Engineer / similar role
Strong SQL and data modeling skills
Hands-on experience with dbt in production (modular models, documentation, testing)
Proven track record of defining metrics with stakeholders and turning ambiguity into clear, durable definitions
Strong ownership mindset around:
data quality and reliability
documentation and clarity
governance that enables (not blocks) self-serve
Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing without authority
Nice to haves:
Experience with BigQuery
Experience working in B2B SaaS and/or sales-led GTM analytics (pipeline, forecasting, churn/NRR, attribution tradeoffs)
Experience with semantic/metrics layers (regardless of technology) and metric governance frameworks
Familiarity with BI tooling (e.g., Looker) and how downstream consumers use modeled data.
